What is Omni Notes (Open Source)?

Omni Notes is an open-source note taking application, designed to be lightweight and simple without giving up smart behavior.

Source code : https://github.com/federicoiosue/Omni-Notes

Component(s)

I've been using the application for a week already and I am amazed with its features and capabilities. As I was making notes and checklists I had observed that it can be sorted by title, date of creation, last date of modification or date of reminder. Actually, the said feature is very useful to easily find or look for a specific note, checklist, memo or reminder. However, there is one time when I try to look for an important checklist yet, I had encountered difficulty looking for it since I forgot the title, date of creation, last date of modification or date of reminder.

Another thing is there are important notes, checklists, memos and reminders which I need to have a privacy since it is somehow confidential. There is a feature already of the application which you can add a password into a specific note, checklist, memo or reminder with matching secret question and answer in case you forgot the password. But the problem still exist when somehow knew your passwords. Thus, making those important and confidential notes, checklists, memos or reminders unsafe from other people's interest.

So now, thought of something which I think could make these sections of the application more efficient and not easier to access.

Proposal

Given the situation above, I suggest that the developers of Omni Notes should add a feature wherein you can PIN Notes/Checklist/Memos/Reminders and also add a Finger Print Sensor. The pinning of Notes/Checklist/Memos/Reminders will be done in order to save the most important files at the top wherein it is easier to find and accessible. The fingerprint lock should be added instead of having only alphanumeric lock type of passcode in order to secure confidential Notes/Checklist/Memos/Reminders of the users. In order to make this suggestion possible, the Omni Notes developers should make some enhancement on their application from which this suggestion will be included and so as to be implemented. To make this suggestion easier to interpret, the author of this contribution post provided the current format as well as his suggested format.

Benefits

  1. Important Notes/Checklist/Memos/Reminders are easier to find making it will be accessible and hassle free for every user. Another thing is pinning of Notes/Checklist/Memos/Reminders will make the jobs faster and its confidentiality will be monitored. Sorting will be much more efficient.
  2. The users of the application will have the assurance that their files (notes, checklists, reminders and memos) are surely safe and secured. Confidentiality of the files will be much more guaranteed.
  3. The number of users of the said android application will increase thus making it reliable, efficient and useful.
  4. This new feature will be beneficial to both the managements and its users in the sense that both of them will be able to have enhancements and developments. New development in the feature of Omni Notes (Android Open Source App) since it will be a new milestone to be achieved by the developers.

@zoneboy - i just dont understand what makes this suggestion " really trivial " having this kind of feature is very important
