Crashes as soon as you open the apps

Expected behavior:
It is expected that you will be able to open the app as soon as you open the app.
Actual behavior:
When I installed the app, I wanted to open and the app crashed.
How to reproduce:
download app
now install app
And try to open
Browser/App version: v9
Operating system: Android 6.0

This project repository have not had a tangible code update for 8 months, the most recent update which was 20 hours before, was made on a readme file, you can find the commit here.
I'll suggest that in the near future, you skim read through a repo's code and commit details before making contributions to it. I apologize for any inconvenience encountered as a result.
