Fritzing suggestion 2 | Addition of Feature that Notify Users if Connection of Component is Wrong on Fritzing's Breadboard View
Components
The component that I am suggesting here is to add a feature that notify the users if there is a wrong connection of component on its breadboard view.
Proposal
Plotting the component in the breadboard is as essential as drawing the schematic diagram. Schematics are can be use to run simulation and make sure the circuits are working. In breadboard plotting, it is our actual arrangement of component to our breadboard. This arrangement is base on the drawn schematic.
In the breadboard, there is a particular connections of line. Regular breadboard have its connection vertically.
Breadboard
Breadboard connections are like these (the red lines represents connection)
Breadboard Connection
These are examples of wrong and correct connection.
Correct Connection
Wrong Connection
What I am proposing here is to add this feature.
It will appear to notify that the user cannot connect this way.
Mockups / Examples
This is how it will work.
Before the user will connect the components, fritzing will determine whether the intended connection is wrong or correct. If it is wrong, an dialog box will appear saying it cannot connect this way.
Benefits
- Users can avoid such wrong connection like this.
- It will make the user to troubleshoot easier.
