One of my favourite quotes is 'protein is overrated' - for the life of me I can't remember which of my friends said it!
I think 80 grams a day is more than sufficient for most people leading an active lifestyle.
And as you say, there are plenty of plant based ways of getting it!
Pulses are my go-to. Chickpeas especially.

Totally! The nutrition industry is just so lucrative that companies make money off of either aggrandizing or demonizing certain ones depending upon what products they're trying to sell. Ultimately my message is always eat real food. And I do love chickpeas, too. :)
