Wow, This is a unique concept for handicapped people. The vehicle not only allows them to move but also allows them to make an earning by selling eatable items, clothes etc. Moreover I have seen this innovation being utilized by normal people for transportation of goods as well. I hope this is not patented by big corporates yet, as the demand for such a low cost vehicle will increase and with it the price as well!!
It's so common here that there are probably hundreds of small machine shops where a welder can construct a sidecar in a few days.
I doubt if any corporation can patent this type of basic design – altho I'm sure they'll try!!
Admire the Automotive prowess of the Thai welders to design a vehicle which can be used for social, commercial and individual reasons :)
