Daniela's mental and emotional equilibrium
Hello my friends,
This is my participation in the competition” Art and Writing Contest #181 Hosted by @solperez
Today I am choosing the first picture " Sunlight and Shadow (1884)”and will give my views on it.
Even before her marriage, Daniela harbored a deep love for young children; it was her cherished dream that whenever she became a mother, she would shower her child with boundless affection. Then, at the age of twenty-two, she married her sweetheart, Carlos. Carlos was an exceptionally wealthy, handsome, and gentle man. After three years of waiting, Daniela finally conceived; her joy knew no bounds as she eagerly awaited the birth of her child.
However, it seemed that fate—or perhaps God—did not intend for her to keep this happiness. After nine months, she gave birth to a stillborn child. It is believed that, perhaps due to a physical complication or a blood deficiency, her baby had died within the womb.
For a mother, having nine months of anticipation and dreams shattered in a single instant constitutes a profound trauma—a shock so deep that it defies description in words. The death of her child before it had even drawn its first breath completely shattered Daniela's mental and emotional equilibrium.
Initially, Daniela simply could not comprehend what had actually happened. It all felt like a nightmare to her. Her body remained constantly exhausted, and her mind felt utterly numb. She often existed in a state devoid of emotion, repeatedly asking herself the same agonizing question: "Why did this happen to me?"
For many months, the tragedy continued to haunt her like a waking nightmare. Witnessing her fragile mental state and sorrowful demeanor, poor Carlos, too, became deeply despondent. Then, one day, Carlos decided to take Daniela on an outing to a familiar spot—a place they used to visit together back when they were still sweethearts.
It was in this spirit of hope and healing that he brought her here—dressing her in her favorite outfit while he himself dressed like a prince. First, they shared some refreshments and basked in the sunshine; then, Daniela lay down—in perfect stillness—on a swing suspended between two trees and the peaceful shade of a massive tree.
.
Today, after so many long days of suffering, she is finally experiencing a faint glimmer of happiness and a sense of inner peace.

Your story is very touching. You have described the pain of a mother in very simple and beautiful words through which the reader can feel her pain. Especially Daniela's emotions and her pain are portrayed very well by you. I also liked that Carlos supported her through this difficult time and tried to make her happy. At the end, the sunlight, the shade of the trees and the hammock present a calm and hopeful scene. Your writing is simple yet very effective. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful and meaningful story. May Allah give you more success and good writing.
Heartfelt greetings to my dear little friend from My neighboring country!
There is no doubt that ever since I began inviting you to my posts, I have started to feel—quite on my own—that perhaps I have begun to write well.
People used to praise my writing in the past as well; however, the specific words you choose to commend my posts are, in themselves, worthy of praise.
And to tell you the truth, I have now become almost addicted to hearing these compliments—which is precisely why I muster the courage to invite you to every single one of my posts.
May Allah bless you.
