The boat and grandfather
Hello my dear Steemians,
Tanya is again on the beach, she comes every day and usually sits on the old boat for hours. Every time she is there she is immersed in the world of her memories. Once she climbs on this old boat she feels that her grandfather is very close, it feels like he was away shortly to bring her some nice surprises like an ice-cream or chocolates and usually he had some stories to tell.
It is already half a year gone since her grandfather passed away, she was there the last few weeks and her grandfather was feeling well, just becoming weaker and weaker. He loved when Tanya was reading for him, he listened and also they chatted about everything and she really enjoyed the time with him.
When Tanya was a child she spend her summer time with him on beach and that was the time when her grandfather was building this boat with his own hands. She remembers every since wood and how he was nailing every single of it. That time she learned how to use nail and hammer, her grandfather enjoyed looking at her and her work. Once the boat was ready they chosen the colour of boat and she loved painting and to see how boring wooden coloured boat turned into nice coloured boat.
Since her grandfather became ill this boat was stranded on a beach, nobody was interested in it and Tanya noticed that it started to fall apart.
This time when she was there, she got an idea, she told herself that she would like to revive the handwork of her grandfather and will restore it. She knew that if her grandfather would still live she definitely would be excited about the idea and also would love seeing Tanya working and doing everything like he taught her. Decided! Now it is time to make a dream true in the name of her grandfather!
