Venus to Raquel

My dearest Raquel,
As you know, I am residing in Venus now and it's beautiful. I found out that everything humans said about Venus is false. For example, it's not extremely hot as we were led to believe. Venus is a planet named after the goddess Venusa, who controls the planet. Venusa decides who enters the planet and who gets “kicked out.” Getting “kicked out” is terrifying. My neighbor was given several warnings before Venusa decided to set him on fire and send him to Earth as a “meteor,” just for littering. I found his punishment to be very humorous. Serves him right for being careless and disrespectful towards our Goddess and our planet. According to humans Venus’s surface is obscured by thick sulfuric acid clouds. This is one of Venus’s many defense mechanisms to scare away intruders. The temperature here is like the Bay Area's, 64-73 degree weather. The only difference Venus has is that when it snows it doesn't get cold because our temperature never drops below 64 degrees fahrenheit. The land in venus is just as natural as Earth's forests but also as exotic as Earth's jungles.
​The way our residents are able to communicate or express concerns to Venusa is through palm sized gold mirrors that are assigned to each of us once we are accepted into Venus. These mirrors are called “Vazars” and can be used to communicate with other people and other planets. Venusa can be as deceptive as Venus is to humans. For example, her exterior seems to be cruel and unwelcoming but in reality she's loving and understanding until you push her limits.
​We live inside mirrors that hang off the Redwood tree’s’ branches. You walk into the mirror and enter another dimension which is your home. You can remodel it however you want but you literally live inside a mirror. When Venusa first assigned me to my designated home I laughed and said, “Just as cold as my kisses.”
Venusa responded, “Are you sure you want to be here?” confused by my humanly inside joke.
I glared at Venusa, looked back at the mirror and after a brief moment of confusion I stepped into the mirror and entered my new home. My house smelled like my preferred wax scent, “Sherwood Forest.” The color of my walls are plum and my curtains are sheer white. I love my new home, it is beautiful.
​I gazed upon my Vazar to summon Venusa and asked her permission for you to visit. She questioned me as to why it would be a good idea for you to come. I said, “Venusa, honestly I feel alone. I am new to this planet and i feel out of place. I am not sure of your residents accept my kind of energy therefore it makes me insecure.” Venusa replied, “You should socialize and make new friends. If you still feel the need to have your friend visit, I will allow it.”
​That same evening I got dressed and went to the “Vountain.” The Vountain is similar to a bar but in Venus we don't require an age limit. If you choose to consume alcohol the Vountain provides “Venine,” which would intoxicate you the same way liquor would on Earth except there are no repercussions. Venine will not make you fall victim to hangover, “date-rape,” blackouts, or any harm that “Earth Alcohol” would have upon you.
​My night at the Vountain was epic! I made about thirty new friends and from what I recall they were all so funny and friendly. I really enjoyed venturing out like Venusa suggested I should. We danced, laughed, and played “Venine Pong,” Venus’s version of Beer Pong. My whole night was filled with laughter and I felt like I was in a profound state of tranquility.
​Having made new friends makes me feel like I can survive on this planet. If you came to visit, I know that lonely void would be fulfilled. There's no one who understands me like you do, I need you.I truly want you to be a part of my new existence, I love you and would love for you to join my new crew. Please take what I am asking you to do in consideration. If you don't like Venus, I'll have Venusa “kick“ you out. Just kidding! I promise to take you home if you don't feel comfortable. I miss you, I haven't seen you since I was an “earthling.” Please respond as soon as possible.
