Something that never was, nor will it be.

We all have an "I wish" in our lives.
Someone who could be and stayed at the door without entering.
A spark that did not find where to make a flame.
And that went out without leaving a trace.
Someone who hangs on your memories, and from time to time causes you to spill a "yes ..."
Something that never was, nor will it be.
Someone you thought about but with whom nothing ever happened.
A person who simply went out of your way.
