Quick #vetsconnect update

Hello to all the supporters of #Vetsconnect. I sincerely apologize for the lack of new content this week. My initial plan was to put out a few deep and heartfelt posts a week until others started joining in and using the tag also. I have been completely preoccupied this week with preparations for Hurricane Irma. The stores have pretty much been out of water , batteries , gas ,plywood, generators , gas cans and all other hurricane type supplies since Tuesday. Gas has been hit and miss. It is very eerie to drive a few miles and every gas station I pass either has the pump handles covered with bags of they are roped off and empty, eventually you might come to one that has a line of cars 50 or 60 deep. people were lined up at home depot at four am three hundred deep waiting for plywood deliveries. Water, forget it. Luckily I always keep a minimum of 40 gallons drinking water and at least six months of food. I am a cabinet maker so I had access to a stack of plywood for the windows. Still so much to do though. Fortunately for us here in south west Fla, it looks like the worst of the storm will be on the east coast. My prayers are with the people of the Keyes , Homestead (which never recovered after Andrew) Miami and Lauderdale. It looks like they will get the worst but, we are all gonna feel it. This storm is so massive and powerful that there is no avoiding it completely. They are prepared for more damage than any other storm to ever hit the U.S.. All we can do is wait and see.
The point I was trying to make is that even if I don't have internet this weekend, I have plenty of back up power for my laptop and can work offline on a few articles to post as soon as possible after the storm. please bear ?? bare?? with me during this very stressful time. I am dedicated to #vetsconnect and would hate to see support start to wane because people think I'm slacking off on it. I don't want to post crap content just to post something and I just cant focus on articles long enough with everything I still need to do to prepare. I started boarding windows at around 5pm this evening and wouldn't you know it started pouring with thunder and lightning. I worked through it for about four hours but still need to secure all kinds of things outside.
So that is what I am dealing with at this time. I only ask that people please be patient and understanding. I promise that the next few posts will be worth the wait. In advance, I thank everyone that reads this and takes time to support and reply. In case anyone hasn't caught on, I reply to EVERYONE that comments on my posts. I feel that if people can spend their valuable time reading my content and replying , the least I can do is write back. This takes a lot of time too. I came up with the policy before I realized how much time it would actually take. I also didn't expect the success ive had with a couple of the posts too. I really want to stay fully engaged with all of my followers and readers. No matter how much time it takes.
You will hear from me again soon
Thank you and God bless you all
Semper Fi and keep von Steemin on.
P.S. the bottom pic is from the gas buddy app yesterday , stations in red are empty. green has gas ,until they don't

Just found out about #vetsconnect. A couple of us are launching a veteran community project with this account here. Interested in combining?
Im here with you bro!! we are going to get thru it!!
True True meno. I just want it to come and go and be done with at this point. Thanks for checkin my post. I preciate ya
Thanks for the update bud. I have friends in Florida. I will definitely bear with you but would rather not bare with you. Stay safe. Make Chesty proud. Semper Fi.
That's funny. I'm usually pretty sure of myself when It comes to proper grammar and English. Not so much on that one though. My wife don't even wanna bare with me anymore either. The corps taught me how to think outside the box and get things done with limited resources. I use those skills every day and even more in situations like these.
Semper Fi and Semper Steem corpsvalues. Thanks for stopping by..bye ..bi.. haha bye bye
Stay safe, and don't worry about a lost day on Steemit now and again; this is a marathon, not a sprint, and we'll see you at the finish line!
You are spot om about that General. I just didn't want people thinking I gave up so soon just because there were no new #vetsconnect posts from me. As always, thank you for checking in and giving your insight. It is valued.
Semper
Keep strong mate and you will be through it in no time!
Thanks mate. Last day of prep, then I'm boarding up the front door on my way out. We will see how it goes after that. Thanks for reading the post. You will hear from me soon
Good to hear mate, look forward to hearing all is as well as it can be.
I hope you got through the hurricane ok. I've given you a small SP delegation until 1 December 2017 to help jump start #vetsconnect. At that time, I'll review and see if I can support some more.
