Hi! this is a picture of a videogame i am working on! if you like it let me know in the comments [DEV LOG] ???
So i've been working a lot on this videogame. i was sitting chilling in front of my desk when suddenly i decided to start the development of this beloved project, i called it Pastel.
This happened just finishing the year 2021, i started learning game development with unity and i bought a nice graphic tablet bc as an indie person i wanted so hard to do a 2D, also bc i do not have a AAA game budget 😢
this 2D fever started when playing GRIS from an indie studio located in Barcelona, Spain (i think... i don't remember very well) so... where was i? yeah, playing GRIS, i was doing that and suddenly it became a little bit idk... boring? in some kind of way. i mean i loved the game and it is beautiful and it deserves the score (whatever) but... i thought;
"yeeeeeah i can do a beautiful game but actually fun."
So of course, i was high. what can i tell you? also i tend to boredom.
since i am currently on summer vacation from colleague (and also broke and unemployed) i decided to go with it.
i saw a lot of videos from indies saying "yeeah i can actually eat doing this"
idk if its true but i really love eating.
i mean I'm not in a bad situation but i want progress.
there are also people saying; "the indie dream is a lie you cannot compete with Fortnite and Minecraft"
let me tell you, i love Minecraft and i love Fortnite but i really really want to buy stuff (like food), i really want the Dr. Strange skin that just went out recently in the Fortnite store.
since i do not have (and i dont see) more options to go (bc yeah im doing university but i need real money and experience besides that) I'm taking the choice of becoming an indie game developer.
today, after six months, while i was thinking about sharing the game and making some cash for it, i started watching youtube videos from industry experts and other indie devs, then suddenly, i realized marketing and sharing are a very important part of the videogame development and the videogame company (i was raised using a computer sorry)
this screen capture is the first official screen capture of Pastel Project and the first official devlog. the pilot.
As the CEO of this beautiful project, i'll be sharing everything here.
i dont know what is going to happen, i don't know if this is gonna be successful but what the hell, join me on this trip and let's crash together.
let me know what you think about it!
