Eight unusual Post-Apocalyptic movies, that you may want to watch.

WALL-E - by Andrew Stanton

How humanity might look for 700 years? Will we be flying fat Midgets? I do not think, however, the author of Wall-E reveals quite an interesting scenario. At the beginning of the 21st century corporation Buy N Large Corporation (BNL) managing the Earth, led to coat the surface of the planet with garbage. The only salvation turns out to evacuation space passenger liner - Axiom, hoping that in a few years, robots class Wall-e cleared away all the crap left behind by people. The plan fails when the earth was too poisoned, forcing people to stay in space for 700 years. Peaceful days Wall-E are shattered when one day on earth lands robot Eva, looking for plants for the return to earth.

You can find in the various indications, warnings, but in fact, it's incredibly addictive story about a small robot and great love.

Children of Men - by Alfonso Cuarón

Do we need  a plague of zombies, nuclear war or EMP to end of the world? This time infertility was enough. In 2027 at age 18 the youngest man died on  earth. The action takes place in the UK, which is trying to survive as a bastion of civilization.

 Efforts may seem futile in the end will not be who to pass the entire  legacy, but some peoples still have hope. 

The Road-  by John Hillcoat

Ten years after the unspecified, devastating cataclysm that transformed North America in the wilderness without plants, animals and the sun. We are seeing a hopeless journey between father and son who at all costs, try to keep humanity.

Murders thefts cannibalism is only part of the horrors to which we find in this world. Pervasive hostility and dehumanization. Inducing to reflect on the fragility of our civilization

Sexmission - by Juliusz Machulski

 In the twenty-first century, nuclear war breaks out, resulting in a total elimination of the genes of the male population. In an underground bunker in the year 2044, women reproduce by using in vitro. by controlling genetic born only girls. Two brave souls wakes up from hibernation lasted more than fifty years to learn that they are the last men in the world.

The main thread the film are the adventures of two main characters, who not only did not want to undergo treatment voluntarily, they are still trying to restore the world to its sex. 

Mad Max II - by George Miller

 Cult movie, which could be a lot to write. Reworked machines chasing. The  endless  of the desert, it's just part of the things that gives us Mad Max II. According to many people, including me, the second part just came out best, but I encourage you to watch the whole series.

It is thanks to this production there was a fashion for cinema post-apocalyptic, and Mel Gibson secured a ticket to Hollywood. 

These final hours - by Zak Hilditch

The Nort Atlantic is hit by meteorite. Heat wave slowly destroys life on earth. Do not expect a happy ending  here, it's over. The film shows the last hours of life thirty Australian, who in these last hours, is planning to get drunk, get high and have fun. 

The Day After Tomorrow & 2012 - by Roland Emmerich

 

Liked by some, hated by others, Roland Emmerich has created two movies, embedded although in a completely different time, but both films share many common threads.

The Day After Tomorrow, shows us a world sinking in the ice age, dramatic fight his father to save the family. A lot of pathos, but I have a great fondness for this movie and happy to come back to him.

The year 2012, the Mayan calendar was right, the majority of mankind is doomed, the Earth's crust is slowly being undermined. Here again, we see a dramatic battle with his father adversity, bu save his family
