Da Nang gets a cat cafe near my house
First off let me say that Nadi would feel so betrayed if she knew I went to this place.
I was walking down the street with Nadi actually when a person that was promoting the place invited me to go in there WITH my dog. I said "that is not a good idea at all but I will come back soon."
I don't know how Nadi would react to being surrounded by a bunch of her mortal enemies, but it wouldn't be good.

Can-n-Cup Cafe is just your run of the mill coffeeshop with not so fantastic products on offer and it doesn't have to be superior to other places because they have a small army of really well looked after cats that hang out in the shop all day as well.
I always talk about dogs but I don't really have a problem with cats, I like them too. I just find dogs to be a bit more matching to my personality to I focus on them a lot more. I'm cool with visiting cats, but I wouldn't want to have one living with me.

There is a room in the back with a dozen or so cats but I decided to leave most of them alone. They are all friendly and used to being pet, clearly. They also have what appears to be completely unfettered access to food and of course, water.

I liked this guy. The food system there might be on a timer or something and he is just chilling out waiting for the next round of kibbles.

There are these little cat bowls at the windows where people walking by can get a glimpse at what is inside. I think this is actually a really brilliant marketing plan because honestly, their coffee is pretty mediocre. The cappuccino that I had wasn't a cappuccino, it was a black coffee with hot milk mixed in. Whatever! That's not what I was there for.

This guy intrigued me the most. He had a Lynx sort of face and a much larger body that you would normally expect from a house cat.

I don't know much about cats but I have never seen one of these before. If you know what it is let me know

Just like most cats though this big boy was very agile, had impeccable balance, and also seemed to really enjoy being near humans. He was one of the most social of all the cats in the place as he moved from place to place snoozing and then taking over a table without permission.

Being in this spot for around 30 minutes or so was enough for me though and by the time I left I had a newfound appreciation for the fact that my dog Nadi, doesn't shed. The staff do quite a lot to keep ahead of the cat hair all over the place but there was around a dozen cats here. There's only so much you can do. I spent the rest of the day finding cat hair all over me and I could do without that.
I think Cat-n-Cafe is probably going to do pretty well especially since it is in a tourist area. The cats are in magnificent shape, clearly well-looked-after, and they even had a couple of "grumpy cats" but they were so popular with the other customers I didn't get to take a pic of them.
I can't say that I would become a regular here. Once was probably enough for me.
You know that old saying about how your dog knows when you "cheated on them?" Well when I got home Nadi's nose was on high alert and she was following me everywhere and even growling (not in an angry way, just like how she wants attention) for about 30 minutes after I got back.
Needless to say I will not be bringing Nadi to the cafe. Do you want chaos? because that's how you get chaos.
