I think it depends a lot on how successful/unsuccessful some of Ethereiums competitors are this year (ADA/NEO/EOS/...) but in general I think a 3x is almost certain and I wouldn't be at all surprised if ETH far surpasses that and goes closer to 10x for the year by end of 2018 (~10k USD)
