DTubeDaily | Chinese New Year Celebrations in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Well... as the title says, in this video I have some footage from last Saturday when I went to see the Chinese New Years Celebrations. It was a lot of fun really, since Chinese Culture is still not very big over here, but it is really cool to see something different other than our traditional carnival for a change.
As Carnival is celebrated here throughout February, the organizers decided to do a mix of celebrations, or a fussion, mixing some of the oriental celebrations with what we normally see over here. This will look quite exotic as a Chinese Celebrations but oh well.. we are latinos and we are in the Carnival month, therefore the Samba Parade.
I found it to be an interesting mix, a bit form here, a bit from there... voilá! Everyone in the streets looked like they were having a good time and the weather was just perfect for the occasion.
The rhythm you will experience now is called Samba and its a Brazilian tradition.
