RE: Vocab-ability Prefix–307 (post__ = after) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability6 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. The woman looked at the train timetable, puzzled at the mention of "post meridien", till she finally realised it referred to the time and her train was leaving at 2 p.m.

  2. Andrew Carnegie built scores of public libraries in an effort to be remembered by posterity.

  3. Alan Turing was given a posthumous pardon.

  4. The post mortem conducted on Princess Diana concluded she had died from injuries in a car crash, which were exacerbated by her not wearing a seat-belt.

Good work!
I hope that lady caught the right train!
