RE: Vocab-ability Suffix–351 (__ize = do, make, [verb suffix]) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

"MY VOCAB PRACTICE."

  1. Victimized:
The burglar further victimized the owners of the house by stealing their laptops, the XBOX and all the kids' video games.

  2. Rationalize.
Some politicians rationalize away some pretty monstrous things their own party gets away with but oddly enough, they hold the opposing party to a much higher standard.

  3. Harmonize.
The singers were able to harmonize their voices nicely during the singing competition.

  4. Legalize.
Cannabis surely should be legalized and decriminalized, as well as everyone who has been affected by this "prohibition", should be freed from jail/prison and have their records expunged.

  5. Colonize.
The Colonization of America began with the explorations of the early European explorers, who traveled long distances to The New World from Spain, England, Portugal and Spain.

  6. Civilize.
Europeans thought they were a lot more civilized than their Native American counterparts on the mainland of The New World.

Good work!

I'm a descendant of Europeans, and I realize that the European colonizers were, in many ways, barbarians.
