RE: Vocab-ability–179 (phobia = fear, aversion to) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability7 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. An elevator malfunction can trigger an episode of claustrophobia in some people.
  2. Mike never before felt claustrophobic until his buddies packed him into a small wooden box as a prank.
  3. John was so tall, he often joked that looking down triggered his acrophobia.
  4. In most cases, persons xenophobia is more related to their fear of unknown rather than conscious prejudice.
  5. I once wondered, how do someone inflicted by hydrophobia take a bath.
