After weeks of stalling, the Senate sent over a bill that was simply not in the best interest of the American people. While it funded TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and other essential parts of the department, it left out ICE and CBP, the very men and women on the front lines of this border crisis. I could not, in good faith, support a bill that ignores the core mission of homeland security.
