Definition of family
Social unit of two or more persons related by blood, marriage, or adoption and having a shared commitment to the mutual relationship.In other definition,some people may refers family as children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family. a social unit consisting of one or more adults together with the children they care for: a single-parent family.
Types of Family
Basically, there are two types of family which are,Nuclear family and extended family

A Nuclear family: The nuclear family is the traditional type of family structure. This family type consists of two parents and children. Single Parent Family. The single parent family consists of one parent raising one or more children on her/his own.
The members of a nuclear family
The father:This refers to a male parent of a child.

The mother :This is also known to be the female
parent of a child.
Children:This are either a male or a female given birth to by the coming together of father and the mother.

This is the second type of family
An extended family is a family that extends beyond the nuclear family, consisting of parents like father, mother, and their children, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all living nearby or in the same household.
Members of the extended family
Father:A male parent of a child
Mother :A female parent of a child
Grandfather:This refers to the father of one's father or mother
Grandmother :This also is the mother of one's father or mother
Brother :A male child from the same parent
Sister :A female child given birth to by the same parent
Uncle:Your father's or mother's brother
Aunty :your father's or mother 's sister
Cousin:This is a child of your uncle or aunty
Niece :A daughter of one's brother or sister, or of one's brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
Nephew :son of your sister or brother, or a son of the sister or brother of your husband or wife.
Siblings :A sibling is one of two or more individuals having one or both parents in common. A full sibling is a first-degree relative. A male sibling is a brother, and a female sibling is a sister.
Stepmother:A stepmother is the current wife of your natural father that is not your biological mother.
Stepbrother :Son of one's step-parent by a marriage other than that with one's own father or mother.
Stepsister: Daughter of one's step-parent by a marriage other than that with one's own father or mother.
