Why does syncing wallets take so long?
Hey everybody,
I just downloaded sia-UI and the ethereum wallet but they have been synchronizing for over 50 hours and they are not finished yet. The further they get the longer it takes to sync.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

These wallets are downloading the blockchain info, it's many GB. It's unecessary for ether. There are wallets like Exodus that don't need to sync with the blockchain. About sia wallet I also tryed two times to download but gave me an error on 80% or 90%. I posted some info on wallets this link https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@dralex/practical-desktop-wallets
Alright, thanks for the reply! Living in Belgium where data limits are still a thing doesn't help with the speed either I guess.
