i was must 4... of course...

so i had bought a gen 4 pci-e card

long ago

a rx6600 to be exact

low consumption ideal for heat...

worked perfectly at boot, for desktop use, a wonder... cold,.. as cold... like less 10 w for anything and dropping if i recall below 3-4 watt

then in the happyness of my investment, i tried a game

omg... mega framerate and mega drop

after a lot of troubleshooting...

the conclusion

pci-e 3 was unable to push enough on 8x pci-e 4, as such "mega drops in framerate"

returned... loss money...

like that...

to illustrate, even with a "new gen" card at the time, worked
