i don't understand how a peacefull reunification is possible as long as this gang live.
the nefarious interference of this gang in the regional peace.
those there, not part of it, have only 1 choice leave or die.

my opinion : anyway there will be a need to use violence against this gang, they will never accept to leave peacefully, to let the others (their captives) live.
tragic but that's how democracy ends...
