Hunt for progress
He laid on the floor. Pencils, pens, brushes, color diffused water jars and ink stained cloths in perfect chaos within arms length. What a mess you thought, but you saw him. Hands, clothes and even his face covered with graphite and paint. He bit his lower lip in concentration of an attempt of perfect line and one simple dot in the exact right spot. He was not aware of your observations completely immersed in world of imagination and hunt for the right shapes, tones and compositions.
“How can it be? How can you act exactly the same way as he once did?”
Hunt for progress in progress. I know it won’t always work out as smoothly. We all have days when energy and vision aligns creating perfect result and days when everything you touch becomes complete nonsense thrown in the bin. That will not slow me down.

Yes. Since I don't have scanner at home, which of course might be the best way to get the images, I use natural light. I have tried artificial light before, but that way some details just disappear. Dots would become less visible or if I use flash again some colors change and just look wrong to me.
Well scanner/printers are pretty damn cheap these days. Decent Cannon ones for example can go as low as 50euros.
BUT, but there is a "but"! If you scanned your works it would be great for preservation but not for displaying them. You would lose that natural vignette you have here which makes it look all the more nicer and of course the depth of field blur.

I have actually never tried to scan watercolor before, I wonder what it would do to it. I will experiment with that just to see, but I agree with the "but". Hehe

Really beautiful painting and words... Both irradiate so much poetry. It is so true, I have been there so many times... I like how they call it in sports: the zone, those moments when everything just flow, letters, moves, brushes... Very sublime and subtle post, loved it!

For me it is very strange, because I never really got to know him and it is interesting to see others so surprised for things that I am unaware of myself.

wow it looks absolutely stunning ! i love how you used different materials that compliment each other and the dots as shadows instead of lines makes it softer. I actually just begin using watercolors and you gave me a lot of ideas thank you ! :)

Thank you @markos86! I wish I had photographic memory. That would have made studying so much more easy. Did you know that Elon Musk has photographic memory. He read heaps of books about rockets and did not know anything about them at the beginning. I looked at heart images before I began :)
