Marriage – What Makes It Tick
Marriage – What Makes Marriages Tick
Marriage celebrations seems to be the most common event and the most celebrated in this age. The young people are eager to tie a not with a partner, live a dream life and produce heirs. The parents and the elderly ones around us expects the good news of bringing home your spouse and giving them grandchildren. To achieve this a lot of fantasy ensures.
Quite often, the razzmatazz accompanying wedding does not translate into a happy home. All the goodwill messages received by all and sundry does not worth a dime in the family life that just started. Most times, a good volume of the ideas acquired by the couple’s prelude the wedding does not turn-out positive.
What happens when all the expectations do not translate to reality? Quizzical you may say but that’s what it is. That brings people from ideology to reality. Today one of the concepts advocated for many couples and would be couples is that the wedding comes before the marriage proper.
Then what makes marriages tick?
Love? No! Rather commitment.
Why? Human love is always dependent on something – beauty, wealth, education, characters, expectations, advice et al. When any of this slacks, love wanes. Maybe this is why many high profile celebrated weddings do crash.
On the other hand, if marriages are built via commitment them you can keep the pace irrespective of the situation around you. Many of the marriages built on commitment starts with average level of love yet end with top level of intimacy.
Are you in ready to make your marriage tick? Think commitment.
