It's completely different. Weed is usually grown organically and if not is usually flushed well of anything harmful before harvest. Cigarettes have more added chemicals than I can count.
I never said "WEED" will cause cancer directly, it's the vehicle used to consume it that could cause cancer. There is nothing healthy about inhaling smoke of any kind. This isn't an attack on marijuana either, I have some Blue Dream in the grow room.
