John McAfee
- Wrote the first commercial anti-virus software in 1987
- founded McAfee Associates to sell his creation
- Resigned in 1994 and sold his remaining stake in the company.
McAfee became the company's most vocal critic in later years, urging consumers to uninstall the company's anti-virus software, which he characterized as bloatware.
- October 2020, McAfee was arrested in Spain over U.S. tax evasion charges.[8] U.S. federal prosecutors brought criminal and civil charges alleging that McAfee had failed to file income taxes over a four-year period.
- On 23 June 2021, he was found dead due to an apparent suicide by hanging in his prison cell near Barcelona shortly after the Spanish National Court authorized his extradition to the U.S.
After they used their arm of the law [IRS] to allegedly unfairly target McAfee, he gifted a bunch of laptops to many secretaries within the government in the hopes of finding evidence to support his claim the IRS charges were trumped up and false.
McAfee states that these were preloaded with viral spyware.
Within a week the entire government computer system was under his control.
He was able to watch, monitor and listen.
He did not find the information he was looking for on himself, [that they had set him up for that raid and killed his dog] but rather found,
- the Minister of National Defense was the largest drug trafficker in all of Central America
- the Minister of Immigration was the largest human trafficker
John made his tweet on 11.30.2019 stating he would not commit suicide before he was arrested,
then on 6.24.2021 was found dead!
