Tiresome Bloody Bores
They create more problems than they solve.
They make a lot more MESS than they want to straighten-out and clean up.
Their usage and consumption far exceed what they are willing to produce, replace, and replenish.
In the Book of Moral Reckoning, they damn well KNOW what they've done and what they're REALLY all about.
You better believe that they can SENSE and have a very good idea what their net contributions are at the end of it all, or lack thereof.
There is no doubt about it: they leave this world way WORSE than they found it.
Listening to them, reading about them, knowing them tangentially, vicariously, immersively, gratuitously -- whatever the case may be -- leave you exhausted, shortchanged, and DRAINED.
Yet they WON'T go away because they are ADDICTED to the adulations and love watching themselves and hearing themselves talk TOO MUCH!
Deep down, they KNOW that the world would be better-off without them.
It does explain a lot: superficially, they exist to torture and exasperate THE HELL out of everybody!
It's all about them, them, and them and never or hardly about the people around them or those who look to them for examples or erroneously look up to them.
They turn saints to sinners, dissidents to insurgents, and pacifists to war freaks.
They're really good at awakening the rebels and revolutionaries WITHIN.
To paraphrase a witty cry for help said aloud that I heard recently, Lord, give us STRENGTH!
For we need all the fortitude we can muster in dealing with the shameless who won't retire and BOW-OUT gracefully.
They truly neither have the conscience NOR the inclination to do so.
Having to force them out CONFIRMS that they lost the benefit of the doubt, the confidence, and any trust that they were accorded.
They really, really blew it, and COMPLETELY lost their way or they really did mean to lead us astray.
