Elephants are the largest mammals on the planet. Elephants are very intelligent animals. This mysterious creature has many secrets that have not yet been revealed. Usually an elephant lives 60-70 years. If an elephant is sick, the other members of the herd bring food and help him stand. If the elephant dies, everyone in the herd calms down. They dig shallow graves for dead elephants and cover them with dusty soil and tree stalks. They stayed in front of this grave for some time. There are signs of depression in the dead elephant's mate.

Elephant trunks are so strong that they can cut tree stalks. The trunk is used for drinking water and for bathing. Elephants can absorb 14 liters of water at a time with their trunks. The trunk is used to sprinkle water, sand or soil on the body. Elephants can swim and take the help of trunks to breathe while diving.

Elephants also have much larger ears that help dissipate body heat. Elephants communicate through sound. The sound of elephants can be heard by other elephants a mile away. Elephants move their ears to express joy.
