Yes the shadow was not intentional. I wasn't even thinking about sun placement when I took it. Just fiddling around with a panorama option, and I really like how it comes out, albeit being a tad on the slim side.
I thought the shadow and bicycle gave the photo a strangely nice added element.

I appreciate the kind words, getting out and exercising does my body good.
