Is 3 Bundles Enough for a Full Head? What I Learned After My First Sew-In

When I had my first sew-in, almost everyone told me that three bundles would be enough. At that time, I didn't have much experience, and I just thought the number "three" sounded safe, so I bought three bundles and confidently sat down in the chair.

The day I got it done, I was satisfied. In the mirror, my hair looked smooth, long, and more stylish than before. But the problem didn't appear that day, but gradually revealed itself in the following weeks. After washing my hair once and the curls loosened a bit, I started to notice that the back of my head didn't look full enough, especially in natural light; my hair looked a bit thin.

That's when I realized that "enough" is actually a very vague concept. Three hair weave bundles can indeed cover the entire head, but they only provide a basic level of coverage, not visual fullness. If you're looking for a very natural effect that closely resembles real hair, then three bundles are acceptable. But if you want your hair to look substantial and layered, then it might be a bit challenging.

Looking back, the problem wasn't entirely about the quantity, but rather about expectations. What I wanted at the time was "the full-bodied look like in the advertisements," but three bundles are more suitable for a "subtle and natural" style. If someone had told me this directly back then, I probably wouldn't have agonized over it for so long.

So now, when I encounter this question again, I usually say: Three bundles aren't necessarily insufficient, but they only suit a certain style. If you know exactly what you want, it won't go wrong; but if you want everything, then it's easy to be disappointed.
