Tiny Hacks That Make My Glueless Bob Wig Feel Like Natural Hair
To be honest, when I first wore the glueless bob wig, I always felt like "something wasn't quite right." It looked nice, but it didn't feel like my own hair.
Later, I gradually figured out some tricks, and the difference was quite noticeable.
The first trick is "pressing." After putting it on, I gently press it down with a silk scarf for about ten minutes, especially at the crown and hairline. This simple action is very effective, making the wig lie closer to the scalp and preventing that puffy look.
The second is parting. Sometimes, a perfectly "standard" middle part looks unnatural. I make the parting slightly less neat, a little off-center, a little messy, which actually makes it look more like real hair. Sometimes I also lightly sweep a little contour powder on the parting to make it look more like scalp.
Another little trick I use a lot is "letting the ends loose." New bob wigs bob wigsusually have neater ends, but real hair isn't usually that neat. I'll gently tousle the hair with my hands or comb it slightly against the grain to create a slightly irregular look at the ends, which makes it look much more natural.
Then there's the issue of shine. Some wigs are a bit too shiny when you first get them, especially under lights, which can make them look fake. I'll lightly spray them with dry shampoo, and that immediately tones down the artificial shine.
These are all small details, but together, they make a huge difference. Later, a friend even asked if I'd cut my hair short, and at that moment I knew those little steps were worthwhile.
