We shouldn't expect anything less from these 'establishment newspapers' any longer. They are entrenched into the deep state apparatus to the full, and wilfully publish press releases given to them by government agencies. In fact I had some interesting experiences in the early days of the comments section at The Guardian, where I believe they were one of the early adopters of experimental troll farms.
