Emotional Vampires
Hey there good people, I just learnt a new term I want to share with you guys.
It’s called ‘EMOTIONAL VAMIRES’. Before I continue, I’ve got a couple of questions want to ask you. While answering, be as honest as possible.
1.Do you feel that no one understands you or your problems?
2.Do you often feel like only a few people are willing to help you when you ask for help?
3.Do you feel like most people’s lives are easier than yours?
4.Do you constantly get into fights with friends and loved ones?
5.If so are they usually the ones at fault?
If “yes” was your answer was yes to at least half of the questions above, you my friend are probably an emotional vampire. Don’t get it twisted; it’s not your fault. It might be as a result of events of the past in which you were hurt. And in return, you hurt those around you unintentionally and they in return, push you away. This only hurts you more and in the end triggering an unending cycle.
WHO IS AN EMOTIONAL VAMPIRE?
An emotional vampire is anyone who has the tendency to feed on your emotional energy. They tend to be exhausting and require constant attention. He/she tends to lack self esteem.
HOW TO BREAK OUT
If this by any chance reflects on you, here are some remedies that will help.
1.Appreciate and show gratitude what for you have.
Truth is, regardless of whatever situation you may find yourself in, be thankful because it could be worse. You could be homeless, disfigured or dead but you’re not so why not make it a habit to constantly to constantly show gratitude every day.
2.Appreciate others
Henceforth, start showing kindness to friends, family and those around you. Be more considerate, show empathy and listen more.
Keep practicing these remedies and you’ll break out of the loop in no time.
