Meet Our Witnesses - @kyle
By far the most important choice you will make on Steemit is who you nominate to be witnesses. Everyone has 30 witness votes to place and should take the time to learn about the many great witnesses on this platform. Over the course of the next month I will be introducing you to many of the witnesses here in our community and trying to get to know each one of them a little better. Often time we just see usernames and don't really know the people behind the @ symbol. So I've decided to do what I can to shed some more light on who are witnesses are and why they deserve our votes. If you are completely new to the witness process, go check out the Steemit FAQ Page. If you aren't sure how to vote for witnesses, go check out the Witness Page. On that page you can click on any of the top witnesses names to find out a little more information about them. If you want to see other witnesses outside the top 50, you can check out the SteemDB Witness Page. I can't stress this enough, Every steemian needs to take some time and get to know who our witnesses are and what they are doing to help make the Steem community better.
Today I would like to introduce you to our number 29th ranked witness here on the platform. A down to earth guy, who has some interesting side projects. @kyle is a fellow Canadian and has been using and working with computer since he was 12. Kyle has been on steemit for a long time now, over a year and a half, he has seen both the rise and fall of Steem price. Besides his love for computery things @kyle also enjoys extreme sports. Growing up in the Prairies of Canada, you need to find a way to keep yourself entertained. @kyle did this through computers, extreme sports, and has a cool story about the first time he ever got high. You can read more about @kyle's Early Years.
@kyle is the creator of https://steem.global/ which is a website set up to run a steem node for the Steemit network AND a steem faucet, meaning you can log onto Steem Global everyday to receive some free steem, SWEET! Kyle is also the creator of the adult site http://klyemax.com/ which allows people anywhere in the world to stream whatever their heart desires. So how about a little work on the steemit platform, head over to Steem Global to receive some free steem and then finish off your day at KyleMax to relieve all that pent up sexual frustration.
As a steemit witness @kyle wants to help the less fortunate, bring to light some new writers and artists on the platform and also help developers grow their projects. He is very active on the platform, and an easy guy to get along with. to get to know him better, send him a message in steemit.chat, make sure you read his Witness Campaign
I've had a chance to speak with @kyle a few times over the last several weeks. Besides talking about our mutual Canadian heritage, we talked about steem and the future of this platform. Below is the transcript of our discussion. I hope you enjoy it.
- If you could give advise to new users just starting out on steemit, what would it be?
Don't get discouraged and give up easily. Persistence is the key here.. Keep making good content you enjoy and you'll get to where you want eventually.
- When and why did you first get involved with steem?
It has been almost 2 years ago now when I first started, a buddy mentioned a new blockchain based social media site called Steemit.com... The rest is on the blockchain!
- What makes you from different witnesses in the steemit community
Well, that's a rhetorical question really.. I'm not sure what makes me different.. Could be bad genetics, could be slight mental handicapping, could be my colourful language and MS=Paint Dick art..? Who knows.
- If you could have one super power, what would it be
If I could have one super power it would be to directly interface with the web, and I would also like to Jizz Liquid Gold. 'Nuff said.
- If there was a worldwide internet and cellular blackout for a week, what would you do for those 7 days?
Probably lose my mind.. The internet is my lifeblood, girlfriend and way of life... I'd have to go outside then.
- Being a witness takes a lot of time and energy, how do you keep a balance between this and other commitments?
I don't. STEEM literally took over my life for a while there and ended up costing me a girlfriend n shit.. Good times..!
- What is the biggest obstacle that this platform must overcome before it goes mainstream?
User interface and experience needs to be ramped up a bit either by Steemit.com or another browser like busy.org to get that huge influx of mainstream users is what I reckon.
- Do you have any phobias or fears?
Deep water I can't see the bottom (thanks JAWS), Getting old and decripit to the point I can't wipe my own ass.. Not living up to my full potential and being forgotten in history.
- Financial advice aside, what ceiling value do you think steem has in terms of price?
Honestly depends on if it's ever hardforked to have a coin cap or what the DPOS rate is.. Could be $5-$10 a coin easy though in the future... Granted a dollar might not be worth fuck all.
- Some people have called crypto currency the internet 2.0 while other think it is just a hiccup in evolution, what are your thoughts on the future of crypto?
Been in crypto about half a decade now.. It's completely changed how I live and operate. Crypto is a wonderful advancement and will likely have long reaching and lasting impact on our species
Haha, some of those answers were hilarious and unexpected. That's one of the beautiful things about steemit, free of censorship, people can truly express themselves. A big thank you to @kyle for taking the time to answer these questions and good luck obtaining the golden jizz.

Much love from Aceh,Indonesia
Good eye. I did notice as it was brought to my attention, however it was more than 7 days after I posted and I couldn’t edit it anymore
Nevermain brotha, The important message still gift and told us in good article to know much about witness in the platform.. THANK YOU SO MUCH :)
Hmm, did nobody notice, that all the reference links in this articel to the introduced witness "kyle" are wrong? The correct account of this witness is @klye!
Just a twist of letters, but a little bit misleading, as there is also an account "kyle" on steemit.
