So it's time to break down our plans for @steemcreative and why we believe we will earn your witness vote. The @steemcreative team is composed of @isaria, @swelker101, and their many cats.

Let's start with the Techie stuff

• @swelker101 has over 1 year experience running a witness node. Shane started off with a basic knowledge of Linux and what was involved in setting up his witness. Over the past year, he has become competent with Linux commands and has problem-solved 95% of the issues that have come up. The longest the @swelker101 witness was out of commision was during the switch during HF20.
• Shane is currently studying both JavaScript and Python.
  Why? Because we believe that due the recent HF20 issues, future Hard Forks need to be tested before being implemented. There's only one real way to do that, and that's to fully understand what the code is doing. There have been several witnesses that have posted their standards, but collectively, there are few that fully understand the code that runs the place. More education on the subject brings another set of eyes to help suss out issues before they hit the main net. We also have some tools in mind, and what better way to introduce tools than to make them yourself?
• What are our standards?
  • Understand the code to explain in layman's terms what changes will be happening.
  • Keep in mind that while we are running a witness, our priority are Steemians.
  • Be able to make suggestions on possible changes and improvements to the code.
  • Run our server and future back-ups from different locations: This not only helps the decentralization of the servers, but will also allow us to keep a running node when changes occur. We are eyeballing an approximate position of #85 before adding another server.

Now For The Fun Stuff

Now that we have the "boring" stuff that Shane works on out of the way, we can get to the stuff that you're probably here for.

We Will Be Sponsoring and Running A Weekly Creative Contest

We will start off with a 25 Steem Per Week Prize, but instead of submitting your own work, you will be submitting someone else's work! The Prize will be split in a 10 Steem Reward for the Suggestion, and a 15 Steem reward for the artist. This will be open to ANY creative post, whether that be art, dance, film, music, or mime. We will be launching the first week of contests on October 22nd, so stay tuned for details.

We Will Be Actively Curating Creative Posts

We will be maintaining a minimum of 5k SP for or curation efforts. We have been working with some groups to keep us updated on posts that are deserving of a little love as well as searching on our own.

But here's the cool feature: We will be running a "Frontrunner" trail for our curation. This will not only allow the creator to make their payouts, but will allow you, the person that follows our trail, bigger curation rewards for yourself as you know a bigger vote will arrive AFTER you have voted. This is win-win.

Our favorite posts for the week will be featured in a curation post desinged to bring eyes and followers to the creators.

Okay, maybe not massively exciting to many of you, but we feel that these can be useful to some users.

A Shiny New Discord!

Another Discord? You bet! We will be opening a new Discord to not only make suggestions for our contests easier, but also to host a weekly creative meeting, where we will encourage live performances of music, poetry, readings, etc. We will also being giving away Steem and upvotes to many of those who participate based on audience vote. It will be open form, relaxed, and may be just a bit lucrative for you. More details will come as we move towards launching this.

Each week, we will have a short video witness update. Why? We feel that communication is important and it's the least we can do.

Steem Creative Curation Show

• We've been helping creative Steemians for over a year now with our weekly radio show. We promote as many posts as we can during the show and choose 10 submissions to curate using the @msp-curation and @msp-music accounts!

Steemit Musicians

• Immediately following the Steem Creative Curation Show, we slide right into Steemit Musicians. This is the show where we play as many of the top-5 picks from the most recent opne-mic contest. We are sometimes joined by @krystle, who also seems to love yelling at Shane. We also love giving away 30 Steem split amung the top 3 vote getters from the show!

Minnow University

• Shane and Isaria are joined by @aggroed on Staurday nights at msp-waves, as we talk about random happenings with the intent of discussing how great the Steem blockchain is and how to increase your account. We also use this opportunity to curate posts using the @msp-curation account. Come on in, join the fun and sometimes wacky discussion, and bring a post for curation!

The Peace Academy

• The conversation continues as we join @aggroed for The Peace Academy. You never know what the conversation will turn into on this one, but we have fun, and you will as well.

Sounds of Steem

• Once a month @swelker101 and @isaria host this live music concert along with @aggroed and @krystle.
  Shane and Isaria send 25-50 Steem each month to our performers.

We've been on the platform for a year and our love for the Steem block-chain grows every day. Early on when we started @isaria was fortunate enough to catch a @curie upvote. That upvote, along with an openmic win, cemented our commitment to Steem. We feel it's our duty to pay it forward to other users to help retain quality Steemians and help people grow.

We're bullish on Steem! We are here for the long haul as @isaria is currently working to make Steem her full time income. That's what's amazing about this block-chain, with working hard and being here every day, you can make your goals happen! We want to spread the word fo Steem and bring in new users and content creators. We want to help usher in business and dapp developers. We want this to succeed!
