Symbionts | Steem DAO | Funding Interruption and Resumption Update

Greetings!

This is an update for the community regarding our proposal, “Steem Wallet: Advanced Upgrades & Features,” to ensure full transparency and provide a clear overview of our development progress.

Why there was not any update in a long time?

Unfortunately, our proposal was defunded between approximately 03–05/11/2025, shortly after we published our last update. Since then, we have been working to regain sufficient community support to secure funding and continue development.

You are currently funded, why no update?

Funding for the proposal resumed on 10/01/2026. However, we made the deliberate decision to wait 30 days before restarting development.

Why Wait 30 days?

Several previously funded proposals have experienced abrupt funding cuts during critical stages of development. In many cases, this resulted in work being discontinued mid-process, leaving much of the distributed SBD effectively wasted without delivering meaningful outcomes.

To mitigate this risk, we have chosen to operate on a 30-day allocation basis. This approach is designed to prevent unnecessary expenditure in the event of sudden funding interruptions, as seen in prior proposals.

If funding for the subsequent 30-day cycle is not secured, any distributed SBD will be returned to the DAO.

We believe this structure is both responsible and sustainable. It ensures that no funds are wasted due to unexpected interruptions or premature termination of support, while safeguarding community trust and shared assets.

Protecting community resources and maintaining accountability must always remain a top priority.
