Thanks @timcliff, could you please explain how to call the claim_account method, can I do it from the GUI? or do I need to download some add-on, or use a specific library?

There are no GUIs that currently support it afaik. (There weren't for the old account creation method's either.) You could try SteemConnect. Otherwise you would probably need to use one of the programming APIs like Steem Python.
