Hi DTube Woodwork Fans,

This week brings a new project.

I have been asked to make some replacement windows by a local building company for a property they are renovating.

The property in question is fairly old and the new windows must be in keeping with what is there now.

I will be making the windows out of redwood (pine), and then they will be painted.

The new windows must incorporate double glazed units and I will need to adjust the original design in order to do this.

This is a not the most exciting job I have worked on to date but general joinery is always good to bring in bread and butter money.

The job is reasonably straight forward but , as with all these things, it must be designed and made correctly.

I will describe the processes involved and give you some relevant tips.

I highly recommend that you make DTube videos to show us any woodworking projects you are working on.
