Few times I have seen, heard or read so magnificent descriptions/translations of "saudade"... Your post brought me back the "scent" of Lisboa, mix of flowers, seafood, perfums, gastronomic challenges...
One thing is certain: you will be full of "saudade" after visiting Bahia :)
You described that feeling I had in Lisbon so well. I could imagine to have a little flat there for a while and just get lost in the scents of the city.
