Women in the world of Enterprises

The world we live in now is so competitive. The thing is, it is not going to change in the future still. You wake up everyday thinking of how you can make an important contribution, and then you remember that there are so many odds facing you. That is for everyone alike.

The challenge is even much more evident for women. It seems the society we inherited has succeeded in defining how we must live our lives. This it was accomplished through culture, tradition and by means of certain doctrines or ideologies. It becomes even more disheartening when you look at the developing nations of the world where there is so much poverty and hunger. And you will see how desperately people are making efforts for survival. The woman is even at a higher disadvantage here.

Generally speaking however, what are the roles a woman must play in this our changing world?

First, every woman must understand that the story is changing by the day. The rules that once applied no longer holds and the theory that were once true are now proven wrong. The female gender have been given some defined roles that has limited her perception of the world. Especially in Africa, the girl child is not given as much education as her female counterpart. This is on a premise that she is a female child that will live her life dependent on her husband. Female children in Africa are being brainwashed to think and believe that there will always be someone to carry their responsibilities for them. This is however a big misconception. The truth is, in most cases, that person is not always there. So the reality is, as a female child, you must wake up and leave the territory of gross illusion. And this is where you must have the understanding that only entrepreneurship can give you freedom. As a woman, become the problem solver and not be a bug in anyone's life.

You must stand up and get the maximum education you can get. This is because, for you to play the same sport your male counterparts are playing, and not just play, but get recognized, you need to display exceptional abilities. This is clearly applicable in business. If you must make an impact, you must go the extra mile. Going to business school, getting involved in entrepreneurship trainings on the internet, joining teams and many others could be the few things you have to do.

Second, overcome yourself. Those limiting beliefs that you have been programmed with must be destroyed. So you need a mental purging. This will involve clearing your subconscious off any self limiting thoughts. The restraint you are having must be destroyed. Thoughts of, "Oh, i'm not good enough", or " That happened because I'm a woman" must be gotten rid of.

When you have successfully done the above. You are already setting a foundation of progress for yourself in the enterprise-driven world. More of this later.
