Beyond reason.

Theists believe that what we call reason came to us, with some modifications, or perhaps a slight upgrade, from the apes.

Personally, I won't try to convince them otherwise, because their lives are much simpler. They'll never say they're orphans after losing their parents, because they can go to the nearest zoo and see their closest relatives, who aren't shy about showing their kin their cherry-red behinds.

But there's a slight caveat: what lies beyond their reason. I, having lost my parents, am not an orphan either, because my father is God, my comforter, and I always want to be near Him, even in the most terrible of times.

When the air roars with jet planes and cruise missiles, and all this is in the buzz of drones and periodic explosions that shake everything around, it is difficult to calm down and remember that Dad will take care of you, there is no need to be afraid, and fear is something that knocks very loudly from beyond the mind.

Mush and chaos—that's how you can mark the boundary that separates the mind from its beyond.

What wins is what you allow into your heart: fear, or peace, orphanhood, or adoption.

There are things that cannot be trained; they are achieved through effort, I don't know what, maybe through willpower, but what willpower is is an ephemeral concept. No one really knows, but they pretend to know, and the answer lies somewhere beyond the mind.
