The crunch of ice underfoot, the bizarre shapes of ice crystals that will sparkle with light at dawn—an unforgettable experience, especially when you have a map and compass in your hands, you're in the forest, somewhere a dozen kilometers from civilization, sweat is already running down your back, and you still need to visit several checkpoints scattered throughout the forest on the map. LOL.

Yes. Sometimes there's so much romance in sports that you can completely identify with someone stranded on a desert island who desperately needs to reach some source of warmth.

I remember that thoughts of hot tea, somewhere out there, beyond the ice wall, motivated me and kept me going, even though fatigue was desperately trying to take over and the beauty of the ice kingdoms beckoned, like, "Stay, you'll be king here!" :)
