Getting my online shop-ordered big item is quite a nerve-rocking experience
The design pattern is beautiful. The foam is firm, good for heavy people although we are not big people here in our house.
My father is checking the Sofa bed being secured by ropes on top of the tricycle my mother had hailed so we can take it home.
I am being a bit anxious lately since Friday because my sofa bed is not being delivered considering that it was indicated in my online shopping app says that the courier will attempt to deliver it since Friday and now it will be the second attempt to deliver my package which I know is a bulky item, it is queen-sized sofa bed and shaped like a 60 inches wide sofa where if you unravel it, it will be a Queen sized foam bed.
I have an experience about failed deliveries and they would get delivered anyway at the second attempt. Now for this item that I was waiting for a while now I don't know if it will get delivered because for one thing, there are too many bad people out there where the courier might get to have an evil interest for my package which happens with this courier company according to its reviews.
The sofa bed is very important for me to have because we needed it as another piece of furniture to accommodate my family when the come to visit us in certain times especially for this holiday season. Also, I paid a lot of my hard-earned money for it and it is not cheap too.
The name of the courier now is different from what I saw yesterday because it will be the second attempt already although maybe the first one might had passed it to this second personnel because of maybe the weight and size of it which is a Sofa bad and is made our of pure foam and that is what plays on my mind, but they are paid to this kind if job as there are separate delivery type for small items and then big items like this sofa bed the size of Queen size bed. However I already ordered almost the same type of item in size and weight but it was delivered by a different courier and I received it faster, but with this one, it is taking too long.
Now I am paranoid considering that I paid it full already although that will get refunded if my ordered item didn't arrive for some reason. I do not of course want to experience untoward issues with this sofa bed because of the trouble it will do to me with my effort and my time. At the time of this writing, the courier which I called to let him know where I live is still not showing any signs of him arriving at my doorstep and it is nearing 8:00 PM already.
It will suck if this courier steals my item but maybe I am just being too paranoid about it, however that particular courier service has a bad reputation when it comes to parcels and packages being stolen but I have to keep my hopes up and maybe buy from the other store which I got a better user experience compared to this one which is pushing my anxiety button already all because of failed delivery which for me is unusual.
Well, just now, there was an explanation according to the different delivery personnel because according to him he cannot go coming from the other barrio because apparently the road on the dike there is being blocked by the cockfight going on over there because there is a cockfighting arena located there.
But it wasn't the case yesterday but the main reason was he cannot access our Barrio via the main road because it had been set to "one way road" because of the ongoing road elevation construction work leading to our Barrio. That is why vehicles coming to our Barrio and next after our barrio must re-route the narrow pathway on the river dike. The other reason that he cannot access our Barrio was because of his big delivery truck would get snared to wires from the other route near the cockfighting arena.
But it pays to call delivery personnel which I did but this last one thankfully called me and told me the issue. What I did was to call my parents to fetch this item but we have to hire a tricycle driver to mount the Sofa bed on top of it and the tricycle driver thankfully was ready with such cases because he has a rope to secure the big Sofa bed foam on top of his tricycle. I was worried that the big Sofa bed might slide down from the top of the tricycle considering that it too was not allowed to enter the under construction road which leads to our barrio, so it has to go up to the dike adjacent to the road which is being used as one-way road and back down to the access road of our barrio but it made it so easy and I was relived and happy to finally receive my queen-sized Sofa bed.
Now I still need additional seats for our living room and the problem is that the other items I want to other are reclining chairs which is far more heavier than these Sofa bed foams. Think that I will have to wait until that road ahead of our Barrio is done so that I will not experience this type of delivery issue again.
