My water filtration system is scheduled to make a backwash today

Water passes through this UV light part.

It is indeed a very good thing to have a water purification system because of course you will have a pure water for drinking but here in my home we do not have a reverse osmosis water but only water softener system. However it has a UV light part which kills bacteria when water passes through the part where UV light rays light-up the filtered water.
It is good enough for drinking since the water that my water filtration or softener system already has chlorine which does the bacteria cleaning part. However the water is still hard and damages the things it flows to like the faucets and the surface of the tiles in the kitchen and the bathroom so I really needed like what U had a few weeks ago which is this water softener system so we can have a purified water which is good for drinking already.
I am yet to have a reverse osmosis water and that is yet to be done because it will also cost me some extra funds to accomplish it plus it also has maintenance cost although not much and does not need to be replaced frequently like the filters and maybe the one called "mediums" which are inside the big tanks which I have yet to research what they are and how they can be purchased or be replaced.
Last Thursday, the installer or owner of the water filtration system business went to our home to inspect the water softener, he made a manual backwash and also re-scheduled the automatic backwash today on the day of this writing. I might take a video of it happening to see how the system does it. I might also add some salt in the big salt container inside it although the installer told us to just put a dipper-full of industrial salt into that special container every week only. But I might add some before the automatic backwash happens just in case the amount of industrial salt in it happens to be lesser than I would expect.
Anyway, again with our enjoyment of filtered or soft water, I hope that I can financially maintain it in the future because my income is not as stable as was expecting but I hope that if I will pass-away, my brother or my sister's husband would maintain it because of its benefits not also for my parents but also for my sister's family since the also use our filtered water which actually is not in the plan. But because we share the same water service, the also get to enjoy the soft water which is OK for me because I want all of us benefit from having a clean water.
