Our small house looks beautiful from the outside because of unique-looking features although it is quite a simple house
My mother was approached yesterday by one of our neighbors to tell her that our house was the most beautiful here in our Barrio. The Solar panels which will be installed soon will be its main feature and I can't see any hose around here having Solar panels on their roofs particularly on what we will be having God-willing, a net metering solar set-up. My eldest brother had told me yesterday that the power which will be produced from it with only 80% efficiency from the solar panel yield in a typical sunny day is already more than enough for our needs. There is a new house in our Barrio but it has no solar panels so I guess that our house will win the awards for best functional house if there will be a competition like such.
Well he is absolutely right considering that I will not be using air conditioning in my room everyday. The temperatures here in my country is quite fair and running an electric fan is enough to give me comfort although I know that the artificial climate created by A/C units in a room or house is much better because they lower humidity, cool the room to your preferred temperatures, and with newer A/Cs, clean the air from bacteria aside from filtering the dust from the room.
Anyway, I had chosen the small space which will be our small terrace to be bright so it will have a Polycarbonate roofing on a set of trellis. I had not seen any house here at least that has it which is why it will be unique-looking especially if I will be hanging lights with different colors to make it cheery-looking because I do like parts of the house to be colorful and I had done it inside with my room cabinet and the kitchen cabinet. As for the exterior, I must make the color light so that it will not absorb heat from the Sun because there are no sources of shade around our house.
I also told my brother, the one that directs the foreman and other contractor on what things to do, that I wanted to put flower pots on the concrete wall a place behind the wall was created where we can put the flower pots to make the front of the house, well very presentable. It is because I also had not seen much houses putting flowering plants in front of their houses, only plants which most doesn't produce any flowers.
What I am planning to do is to plant flowers from seeds and I have an idea what to plant, only those that produce flowers all-year-round because not all flowering plant can survive in our climate here in my country. However the plants which will be placed under the Polycarbonate roofing will indeed be protected from ultraviolet lights and because of that, I can maybe put Orchids to be hanged under the trellis which is excellent because orchids for all I know is easy to maintain, we just have to water it for it to grow and not dry-up.
One good thing which I am excited about is that I will be having a more peaceful room because all the walls around me will be made of concrete plus my door will be a solid door. I can play louder music without bothering my folks and also I will be insulated from noises from outside my room. However the room of my parents will be changed to get nearer the source of noise at sleep time but the good news is that at least the noise from the traffic of vehicles outside would mellow down as the night gets deeper.
But my parents will have a better room this time equipped with A/C and God-willing I will purchase a comfortable mattress for them so that they can sleep much better just like when I used a good mattress which improved my sleep and wiped-out the strain to my body because of the body support caused by the particular mattress which I am planning to purchase soon. That mattress will like be mine with memory foam on top and spring at the bottom which is pricey but is worth it.
