Clove Nursery Overshakes

Today, I'll show you again the progress of my clove nursery in my garden. I'm currently transplanting the clove seedlings from small polybags to larger polybags.

I'm doing this transplant to allow the clove seedlings to mature quickly, stemming from the cramped root growth in the smaller planting medium. Overshakes are the transition from a smaller planting medium to a larger one. The clove seedlings are now about four months old, as indicated by the six clove leaves, and I'm waiting for two more to emerge from the small, bright red shoot area.

I estimate that there will be eight clove leaves in about a month. By December 2025, all the seedlings will be ready for planting, and they will be 100% developed. Fertilization and regular spraying of pesticides will be necessary to ensure the clove seedlings are healthy and grow normally.

During this Overshaking, I also applied a pesticide called "Kurater" to the roots of the plant bags to deter caterpillars and ants. This is something I must be careful about to prevent the ants from eating the clove shoots that have begun to grow.
