SLC27-W6 // "Traditional Desserts "

Hello Teaching Team

Hello My Steemain Friends ,

Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S27- W6: which is all time my favourite topic ""Traditional Desserts""" this amazing challenge organised by @suboohi

What is your traditional dessert? Have you tried it?

In this competition, I am making besan ladoos, a traditional Indian sweet. We offer besan ladoos to God as a religious offering. Ladoos are very dear to Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha. I often make besan ladoos at home because I love them, especially homemade ones. Besan ladoos are a sweet that I don't like from every shop, so I usually make them myself.

On every joyous occasion, the first sweet that comes to mind is ladoos. No matter what the occasion, if someone congratulates you, they always say, "Treat us with ladoos!" That's why I chose to make besan ladoos for today's competition. They are very delicious.

Make any one of the recipes that you like most from traditional desserts, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images

The ingredients we need to make besan ladoos are as follows:

IMG20251108184333.jpgIMG20251108184449.jpgIMG20251108184357.jpg

Half a kilo of gram flour (besan)
450 grams of powdered sugar
450 grams of clarified butter (ghee)
Dry fruits (optional, if you like dry fruits; I haven't used any)

Method

First, I put the clarified butter in a pan and then added the gram flour to it and started roasting the gram flour on low heat.

Gradually, I kept adding more clarified butter. As the gram flour roasts, it becomes lighter and starts releasing the ghee. It becomes easier to stir. When the gram flour was roasted to a light golden color and started giving off a fragrant aroma, I turned off the gas.

Then I added the powdered sugar and mixed it well with a spoon so that the gram flour and powdered sugar are thoroughly combined.

Once both were well mixed, I left the mixture to cool for 20 to 25 minutes so that it reaches a temperature where it is slightly warm and I can easily shape the ladoos.

And that's how the besan ladoos are ready.

Do you face any difficulty during making this recipe.

Not at all, I never face any difficulty while making besan ladoos. Because I've made this many times before, I'm quite skilled at it now, and when you make something you really enjoy, you have fun making it.

On what occasion do you want to make it.(

I can make besan ladoos anytime. When someone at home asks me to make something sweet, or when we're craving something sweet, we always have gram flour, powdered sugar, and ghee at home, so I don't have to wait to buy anything from the market to make them.

Or sometimes, if there's a religious festival or occasion, I make them as an offering. So I don't wait for any special occasion; I make them whenever I feel like it.
