Steemit Challenge s28wk3: When Hope Returns

Ronny keeps trying to balance his life again after the heartbreak, he really guard his heart so much. He keeps learning much from the dry trees at the garden. One day as Nina entered the office, she put a sweet smile like a morning coffee smell. After a week well spent, one morning at work Tina jokingly tease him, “Ronny, you do carry your face like a person that IRS just send a tax letter.”Everybody laugh, and Ronny laughed too, he was shock to see that himself too join to smile.
Nina doesn't hide herself,she speak and make jokes when necessary to make the environment lively. She always says , “Dont form too serious, because life doesn't hard reach like that.” Slowly, Ronny begin to enjoy her presence. But inside his mind, he always warn himself: Don't fall in love o, because love doesn't pity heartbreak.
One Friday, all the colleagues in the office plan a small hangout. Ronny didn't want to go, but Nina drag him. Neon lights was shining, music playing, and people were dancing at the place. Ronny was sitting down watching Nina, her joy was glowing like a Broadway stage. He begin to think that maybe love can still happen. He was still on thought.
Suddenly, one man came in, tall, wear a cap, muscle full his body. Nina freeze. Her laughter vanish. The man smile, “Nina, long time. You are here and still shining, while I'm busy finding you.” Ronny on the other end think that it was her ex-boyfriend, but the fear on Nina face, wasn't a heartbreak incident. She rush outside.
Ronny was shock. He didn't expect that kind of incident. He realize that Nina was carrying her own problem too. She was like that dry tree that still wait for season.
The Next day, Nina didn't came to office. People were whispering. Ronny made a bold step to call her. She picked and told Ronnie all that happened. She was talking in a very low, voice, “That was my elder brother that day. My family are living at Brooklyn. They want to force me to marry one rich man which I don't love. I ran to start afresh here. And they have sent my brother to forcefully get me back home”
Ronny was hurt and restless hearing this. He went to the Park again, stare at the blooming cherry blossom tree. The gardener was still there.
Ronny asked, “But what if season didn't come back for some tree?”
The Gardener laugh, “It's the tree that we think that it has died, it's the one that always surprise everybody with strong blooming.”
These particular words ginger Ronny very well. He couldn't just sit back,his mind was troubling him. However that evening, he enter flight, a flight to Houston, Nina family house, which he collected the address from Nina. He didn't do something so bold before and he didn't expect he could do so.
He meet Nina's father, a serious man. After welcoming him and introduction were made Ronny said what brought him in a shaky voice: “Sir, I know that I doesn't have any right to be here, but Nina deserve freedom. She always shine bright and bloom when she is all herself. Please sir allow her to bloom.”
Silence full the living room. Then Nina's mum said softly: “We think that she wont find someone that will love, cherish and understand her.Thats why we want her to marry this man."
Nina's dad concluded, "We now believe that we have to let her be and choose for herself."
Ronny turn his head, and see Nina at the doorway, tears full her eyes. She didn't believe that he can come to fight for her.
That moment, Ronny realize that love is not about avoiding pain. It's include courage, courage to believe in season even when the trees are dry.
Months later, Ronny and Nina sit under the cherry blossom at the Park. She rest her head on his shoulder, whispering: “You know that you are my season?”

Ronny smile. For the first time, he didn't fear again his heart was free this time. Ronny has fell in love with Nina and couldn't control it. However,he didn't just fall in love only, but he went ahead to fight for her to bloom. And that was the sweetest surprise of all. However Ronny waited for some days to pass by before he will fix a surprise to ask her hand in marriage. Therefore he was also thinking if she will accept him.
