Survival Principles - Scalability
Intro
An important principle to consider in all aspects of life is scalability.
What is Scalability?
Not that type of scale!
Simply put it allows you to take a small amount of resources or production capacity and scale it up to meet greater demands. So how does this apply to prepping? Many preppers focus too much on kit, for example lots of cold weather gear. When you are bugging out this becomes a major problem. One way of avoiding this is to take the resources to make the kit with you. For example if you can sew then taking 10kg of clothing materials will be better than 10kg of clothing (long term). A small amount of raw resources and some skill will often get you further than just kit. This sounds obvious but many people overlook it. When developing your skills build scalability into the plan, for me its robotics.
Conclusion
Making use of this principle can be the difference between life and death, think of how you can apply scalability to all your skills. Survival is often a battle of attrition against nature and the side that manages resources the best wins. Don’t be on the losing side.
